On 12.04.2023, Holy Wednesday, the premiere of the church composition "Stabat Mater" by Gioacchino Rossini took place on the stage of the State Opera - Stara Zagora, conducted by His Eminence Metropolitan Kyprian of Stara Zagora. The work was chosen because of the plot, which interprets the sufferings of the Mother of God at the Savior's cross, and is based on the text of a medieval Latin poem.
The "Hristofor Bunardzhiev" Foundation bought fifty tickets, which were distributed to disadvantaged children, placed in institutions, as well as to people with modest means, but with a great desire to visit the concert dedicated to Easter.
The magnificent work conducted by Ivaylo Krinchev, with the participation of soloists Emilia Ivanova, Petya Petrova, Ivaylo Mihailov, Plamen Kumpikov and the orchestra and choir of the State Opera-Stara Zagora, was a great success and filled the audience with positive emotions at the threshold of the brightest holiday of holidays - Resurrection of Christ!
