As its first cause for 2021, the "Hristofor Bunardzhiev" Foundation decided to support the organisation of a summer rehabilitation camp for abandoned children with physical disabilities from the Transitional Home for Children in the city of Vratsa.
Summer and winter rehabilitation camps for children with disabilities have been held for nine years in a row, and their effect on the physical condition of children is huge - improvement or completely disappearance of diseases are observed, such as scoliosis, various joint and orthopedic diseases, temporomandibular joint syndrome, etc.
The initiative is the work of the Saint Nicholas National Fund, which since 1999 has implemented numerous projects with over 38 homes for orphans, the disabled, a specialized hospital for children with cerebral palsy, nursing homes, children's speech therapy kindergartens, a home for blind children and hospitals. The efforts of the humanitarian organization are particularly aimed at improving the cultural and social environment of children and youth, their integration and adaptation in society.
