The Hristofor Bunardjiev Foundation supported the #HapkaNadezhda initiative, organized by the Public Donor Fund - Stara Zagora.
Today, with funds from donors, lunch was distributed to 60 medical workers in 8 COVID-19 wards of UMBAL "Prof. Dr. Stoyan Kirkovich" AD and in the Specialized Hospital for active treatment for pneumo-phthisiatric diseases. These are doctors, nurses, laboratory assistants, orderlies who are busy around the clock treating our loved ones, friends, and acquaintances.
"Hapka Nadezhda" /A bite of hope"/ is the gesture of appreciation, gratitude and empathy to the hospital staff standing on the front line in the fight against the invisible enemy. "The warm lunch is our humble thanks, our silent prayer that everything will be alright, our faith and hope that together we will go through this trial and survive!", share the organizers of the initiative.
The hot lunch campaign for our "angels in white" started thanks to the donation made by the "Christofor Bunardjiev" Foundation. Since its establishment in 2012, the Foundation supports various initiatives for the benefit of people in disadvantaged social and material situations, promotes the development of talented children, provides financial assistance to educational institutions, extracurricular units and scientific organizations.
And now in this difficult situation for all of us, the "Christofor Bunardjiev" Foundation got involved by providing the funds for lunch for the sixty medical personnel in the Covid-wards of the UMBAL "Prof. Dr. Stoyan Kirkovich" and SBALPFZ for four days.
On December 1st, when the patron of the Foundation - Mr. Bunardjiev, celebrated his birthday, he made his appeal to the companies in Stara Zagora to join the campaign by taking over one meal per sixty people - doctors, medical nurses, orderlies. For those who were first in the eye of the storm and are the last to come out.
