For the tenth year in a row in the middle of June in the village of Malak Preslavets, the Water Lilies Festival is held, the purpose of which is to promote the great aesthetic value of the Malopreslav Marsh - one of the last preserved wetlands along the Bulgarian bank of the Danube River. The islands of white water lilies (46 acres in total) and large concentrations of rare and endangered waterfowl are little known to the general public and are of interest for researchers. The bird wealth of the area so far numbers 147 species, of which 82 are breeding species. The celebration takes place with many interesting cultural and homemade events, songs, dances and entertainment.
Bulagro Group, as a guardian of Bulgarian traditions, folklore and nature, assists in the organization of all editions of the Water Lily Festival.
We sincerely thank the mayor of the village of Malak Preslavets, Mrs. Galina Angelova, for the kind words addressed to us in the thank you address!
